Music, dance and graf art come together for a two-day celebration of urban culture. Manukau's second Southside Gig steps it up a level, expanding from a one day event in 2009 to a weekend-long urban youth festival held across two venues this year.
Day 1, at the new Mangere Arts Centre, features graf art and BBoy/BGirl battles along with workshops and live performances.
The line up reads like a "who's who" of Aotearoa's hottest artists, with performers including J Williams, PNC, David Dallas, Vince Harder and DJ Sir-Vere
Day 2, at the Otara Leisure Centre, is dedicated to Hip-Hop, with collaboration competitions and workshops running all day.
The gig ends with a showcase of the crews and artists that have proved themselves as the best of the weekend.
