At MEGANZ School of Visual Arts students are introduced to Drawing (traditional & contemporary), painting, sculpture in clay and mixed media. Each discipline benefits the other. Students will be introduced to different techniques until they find an individual theme to focus their attention on. Artist Research is expected and each student works with a visual diary. Students work at their own pace and begin at their own ability level.
The classes are up to eight in a group and you can begin at any time. Aged 8 to adult. Drawing and painting practice is extremely good for focusing the mind on detail and learning to discipline yourself.
I also offer portfolio & artboard help for college age students. I haved worked successfully with a number of students to help produce their Architecture drawing portfolios for Auckland University.
My classes are a great place for students doing a skill for Duke of Edinburgh.
I don't give out certificates as I feel producing successful exhibitions out in the big wide world is the true certificate and test of your abilities. It's never written on one peice of paper. It's all up to you and who you want to please.
Give me (Megan) a call or leave a message on the happysheep email address provided to discuss your aims.
And if I don't have the pleasure of meeting you - make sure you keep drawing everything and anything, everyday.
Cheers
