The greater Wellington region encompasses the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa; all of which provide an opportunity to experience an exciting change of lifestyle.

You are one hour’s drive to neighbouring vineyards, four hours’ drive from two large North Island ski areas and only three hours by ferry from the stunning scenery of the South Island.

We invite expressions of interest from Resident Medical Officers who are eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility by going to www.mcnz.org.nz. There are vacancies for House Surgeons (year 1 & 2), Senior House Officers (year 3 & above) and Registrars in most specialities.

Wellington is a tertiary referral centre, with Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals having a total of 650 beds.

Hutt Hospital focuses on delivery of primary and secondary health services with a smaller number of tertiary services and has 290 beds.
Wairarapa has between 71 & 82 beds and covers all aspects of secondary health care.
