Our client is a large DHB with two hospital sites. The area provides an enviable lifestyle in a region that offers a temperate climate, beautiful beaches, outstanding scenery and great people.
The region itself has sustained huge growth over the past 5 – 10 years, which has seen their hospital facility stretched to the limit. The Government and the Ministry of Health has recently approved $110 million to expand/upgrade their hospital facility over the next 3-4 years which will be an exciting phase in their development.
One of the main attractions in working at this Hospital is the great teamwork and friendships that are quickly established between colleagues each year. Attractions of the region include – surfing, diving, fishing, white-water rafting, reasonable access to the ski slops during winter plus good access to walking, hiking and biking tracks.
On site facilities include a recently opened on site staff only Gym S.W.E.A.T. (Staff Wellness, Exercise and Training) – open from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily for a minimal cost of $ 2.50 per week.
The Board provides services to a population of 200,000 through two Hospitals.
The Department of Medicine provides subspeciality services in diabetes, cardiology, gastroenterology, renal, infectious diseases, rheumatology, oncology, geriatrics, neurology, sexual health, respiratory and rheumatology.
