Privacy Policy
Your privacy and the protection of your personal information is very important to us. This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect and what we do with it.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner provides further details of the New Zealand Privacy Act and how it protects personal information in New Zealand.
The information we collect
Zillion Online Ltd operates the happysheep web site. As part of our operations we gather two types of information about the users of our site:
- Personally Identifiable Information. This is provided by you when you join happysheep and includes your name and your email address. We will not give out personal information to any third party whatsoever, unless we are required to do so by law.
- Aggregated Data. This information is generated by our systems as they track traffic through our site. This information does not identify you personally and is not linked to the personally identifiable information that you may have provided. Aggregated data may from time to time be shared with third parties such as advertisers or media partners.
Use of your email address
We have collected your email address in order to provide you with a great experience using happysheep. To this end we may use your email address for the following purposes:
- To verify your identity if you need help with a forgotten password or you are having sign in problems.
- To process any transactions that you might make on our site such as placing or renewing a listing.
- To help provide any other services that you have requested such as subscribing to a favourite category.
- To notify you of important site changes or modifications that may affect you.
- For any other purposes for which you have given permission.
It is our policy to immediately remove you from any mailing list or email service upon your request.
What about cookies?
A cookie is a small file that resides on your computer and is recognised by our servers when you visit our site. A cookie does not provide us with any personally identifiable information. It does provide details of your IP address, the computer platform that you use (eg Mac or Windows), the browser that you use (eg Microsoft Explorer or Firefox) and what domain you are accessing our sites from. With this information we can do the following:
- Track traffic patterns to our site.
- Ensure that the most relevant content is being shown.
- Allow you to enter certain site member services without having to sign in each time you visit.
If you would rather we did not use cookies with you, you can refuse them by turning them off in your browser and/or deleting them from your hard drive. You will still be able to visit our site, however you will not be able to sign in or perform tasks where you are required to sign in, such as placing a listing.
Deactivating your membership
If you wish to have your personal details removed from our site you can do so at any time by deactivating your membership.
